Irfan Umarji
Non-Executive Director
Irfan is a Non-Executive Director and Treasurer on the Board of Renaisi Innovation. He joined the Board in 2025 and brings decades of experience in finance positions within the non-profit sector.
Irfan brings a grounded understanding of how power, place and fairness shape people's lives, drawn from previous roles including work in social housing, where he saw first hand how systems either serve communities well or fail them. He has also worked with organisations that partner with charities to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, deepening his understanding of the challenges those communities face.
His experience spans membership organisations and the non-profit sector with a clear focus on what makes an organisation sustainable in practice. Financial sustainability is something he cares about deeply, and it comes through in how he works, alongside a broader commitment to building fairer, more resilient communities.
